Well we dodged a bullet this week with the close passing of Hurricane Irene just a few hundred miles off the east atlantic coast. We got a little gusty rain on Thursday but nothing to really talk about. Our Summer afternoon thunderstorms usually cause more commotion than these little squalls actually did.Unfortunately for those north of us the outlook does not appear so rosy. The huge storms seems determined to slam into North Carolina and just go right up the eastern seaboard straight to New York City. We pray that everyone evacuates when told and gets out of the way of this beast.
In the meantime, we have had one of our clearest days all summer today. I guess the after the storm passed us yesterday, it sucked all of the humidity out of the air to power itself. The ending result was a clear crisp day in the low 90's. With low humidity for late August.
